American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Lexington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lexington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Lady behind counter was nice but donuts are overpriced and not good. Blueberry was dry and very plain, not much flavor at all. Custard filling literally tastes like water. Not thin like water, tastes like water. Figure that one out. I would not recommend nor would I ever go back. Sheetz donuts are better but Duck Donuts still can't be beat and they don't even have filled donuts.

The donuts are fluffy and delicious. Not greasy and I love that they let you choose which donut you want to add filling to. I have gone back two Saturdays in a row and I'm about to make it a third.

Staff is friendly and the donuts are always fresh. You can pick your fillings for the yeast donuts but the fritters are definitely one of the best I've had. The fact that they have a blueberry fritter makes it tough not to stop in everyday.

This place misses the mark for sure. I ordered 2 glazed donuts and a cherry fritter. I realize glaze is melted down sugar but that was all I could taste. They did not hold up at all the next day. The fritter was rock hard and tasted like straight hardened sugar with no cherry whatsoever. The donuts did not taste yeasty at all, there wasn't much flavor to be had. Donuts were expensive, paid nearly $8 for just these 3 items.

Small shop with limited selection. What I had was good but I've had much better donuts. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Couple tables to sit and a nice couch area. If you wanted donuts and were they get the job done.
